Dartmoor 24 hr Mountain Marathon
The event: From lunchtime to lunchtime take on the wilds of Dartmoor for 24 hours straight! There aren't many places left where you can still feel truly remote but Dartmoor at night is definitely one of them. With the mix of being as navigationally challenging as finding your way on the moon with the relentless terrain of neck deep bogs and steep boulder covered valleys this isn't for the weak of heart, mind or ankle!
However, if you don't fancy the full 24 hrs and just want to dip your toes in the brackish water then the 12 hour stint from midnight to midday version is for you. Both events finish at 12:00 on the Sunday just in time for a lunchtime recovery drink of real ale!
Area: Approx 300 sq km of deepest darkest Dartmoor!
Date: Saturday 18th July to Sunday 19th July
