Safer gambling
RaceEasy is for people aged 18 and over. It provides horse racing analysis, not advice, and it can be wrong. If you choose to bet, these are the basics we'd ask you to keep to.
Gambling responsibly
- Set a budget before you start, and stop when it's gone.
- Only bet what you can afford to lose — never money meant for bills, rent or food.
- Never chase losses. Trying to win back what you've lost usually means losing more.
- Gambling is not a way to make money. Treat any stake as the cost of entertainment.
- Set a time limit, take regular breaks, and don't bet when you're upset, stressed or have been drinking.
Signs gambling may be causing harm
- Spending more money or time on gambling than you meant to.
- Borrowing money, or selling things, to gamble or to cover losses.
- Hiding or lying about how much you gamble.
- Feeling anxious, low or irritable when you're not gambling, or when you try to cut down.
- Gambling affecting your work, studies, relationships or sleep.
If any of these sound familiar, free and confidential help is available — you don't need to be in crisis to talk to someone.
